It has been a year since the signage for West Park was installed. The signage suite was an ambitious mixture of perforated corten panels bent into a noticeboard support. This is an ongoing suite of wayfinding, albeit without maps, which will include matching fingerposts.
The suite was designed with the user group and client group fully involved in the process and whilst their is no map on the wayfinding they punctuate the landscape of the park giving visitors something to walk to and reassurance for park users and residents.
West Park Signage Suite.
The main totem signage was made using the Picture Perf system by Graepels in Liverpool. The large leaf shape as laser cut and perforated with a tree design and then bent into a curled leaf. This was then welded to another leaf that houses a noticeboard and interpretation panel.
